TSC Sub-County Director Succumbs After Prolonged Illness.
Mathew Kimani, who held the position of Sub-County Director for Gathanji Sub-county in Nyandarua County, made remarkable contributions to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and the broader education sector. His commitment and leadership left a lasting impact, and his absence will be deeply felt.
According to Bernard Orwasa, the National Chairman of TSC Sub County Directors, Mathew Kimani had been unwell for some time.
Late last year, he was flown to India for specialized cancer treatment after receiving a diagnosis. Upon returning to the country about a month ago, he continued receiving medical care, frequently visiting hospitals for treatment.
Last Friday night, his condition deteriorated, and he was rushed to Kenyatta University Teaching & Referral Hospital for urgent review. Unfortunately, he passed away during the emergency response. His death represents a significant loss to both the TSC and the education community in Nyandarua County and the nation as a whole.
On behalf of all TSC Sub County Directors nationwide, Bernard Orwasa extended heartfelt condolences to Kimani’s family, colleagues, and the teaching fraternity in Nyandarua County and across the country.
