TSC TPay Activation and Payslip Access Guide for JSS Intern Teachers.
A total of 20,000 Junior Secondary School (JSS) intern teachers, who were recruited and deployed in January, have received instructions on how to register for the T-Pay system. The system enables them to access their payslips online.
Payment and Payslip Access
The Commission had processed and disbursed the teachers’ February stipend, including arrears from January. However, the teachers encountered difficulties in retrieving their online payslips, preventing them from verifying payments and deductions.
To resolve this issue, they have now been advised to visit TSC County ICT officers for TPay activation and to receive login credentials for seamless access.
Meanwhile, 1,645 JSS intern teachers secured permanent and pensionable employment through the recent replacement exercise.
TSC had advertised 5,862 positions for secondary school teachers. Those recruited have successfully completed the necessary employment forms and are set to be deployed to their respective schools.
The Commission intends to issue posting letters between mid-March and May after terminating their internship contracts.
Changes in TPay Registration Process
Previously, teachers were able to register and access the TPay system independently. However, due to increased fraudulent activities, TSC discontinued self-registration. As a result, new users must now activate their accounts through designated ICT officers.
Newly registered teachers were cautioned against intentionally providing false details when accessing or utilizing the T-Pay system. Additionally, they were reminded not to falsify, forge, or alter any data within the system.
The Commission reassured teachers that their personal information, including names, addresses, and phone numbers, would not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or mailing purposes without consent.
Teachers’ salary details will also remain confidential, except in cases related to third-party transactions (such as loans and shares) or as required by law.
Best Practices for TPay Security
Any transaction within T-Pay must be initiated by the teacher, who has the discretion to share their payslip with financial institutions if necessary.
Teachers are strongly discouraged from disclosing their passwords to others, as the system already provides adequate and secure data-sharing mechanisms.
The Commission emphasized that the TSC or National ID number, username, and password are crucial security credentials that must be safeguarded. If teachers suspect unauthorized access, they should promptly change their passwords or seek assistance by visiting the nearest TSC office or contacting the support team at [email protected].
