During the 66-credit program, applicants must have a minimum average grade point of 3.25. With the option of starting in the summer, spring, or autumn semesters, this program is suitable for people who can handle a demanding workload. It is regarded as one of the best online PhD programs, completed in just one year for those who can commit to at least three courses per semester.

2. PhD in Educational Leadership.

Many colleges offer the PhD in Educational Leadership in a blended or hybrid model, which combines online classes with scheduled evening or weekend sessions. This strategy ensures that students have a face-to-face connection with professors, which is seen as critical for optimal learning. The curriculum consists of 54 credits and covers five major areas of leadership:

3. PhD in General School Administration.

General school administration, encompassing 12 hours of leadership and 6 hours of practical educational systems leadership.

With 36 credits divided into 12-15 hours per part, students can complete their doctorate in two years and seek professions at the elementary and secondary levels.

5. PhD in Educational Technology

Designed for K-12 teachers and school board professionals, this program spans around 36 months. The curriculum includes core instruction, educational technology concentration, research, cognate studies, and dissertation preparation.

6. PhD in International Education

Targeting leaders in private and public institutions, this program covers topics like leadership, organizational psychology, legal issues, research methodologies, and program assessment. Residency requirements consist of one-week sessions each summer semester, and completion typically takes 36 months.

7. PhD in Educational Management

Geared towards experienced professionals, this program offers concentrations in higher education, Pre-K to 12 education, STEM leadership, and special education. It comprises 22 courses, lasting nine weeks each, and can be completed in 2.5 years.
