KNEC Registration for Pearson Edexcel International Examinations Outside Nairobi
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially opened registration for private candidates preparing to take the October/November 2024 Pearson Edexcel International Examinations. This registration encompasses various qualification categories aimed at candidates outside Nairobi.
Important Registration Dates
- International Advanced Level (IAL):
- Registration Period: July 22, 2024, to August 23, 2024
- Examination Dates: October Series
- International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE):
- Registration Period: August 12, 2024, to September 6, 2024
- Examination Dates: November Series
- iLower Secondary and iPrimary Exams:
- Registration Period: July 22, 2024, to August 23, 2024
- Examination Dates: October Series
Late Registration Fees
Candidates are reminded that submitting registration requests after the deadline will incur late fees for both KNEC and Pearson Edexcel International.
Registration Requirements
- Kenyan Citizens: Must obtain authorization from the KNEC CEO and present an original and photocopy of their National ID or Passport. Birth certificates are not accepted as identification.
- Foreign Nationals: Must provide originals and certified photocopies of their Passports or Alien IDs, along with a valid entry visa from the Department of Immigration Services for the duration of the examinations.
- All Candidates: Must include two passport-sized photos with their registration documents.
Registration Locations
Candidates must register in person at designated locations:
- Mombasa: County Director of Education Offices
- Eldoret: Uhuru na Kazi Building, next to State House, 4th Floor, Room 11, or Sub-County Director of Education (Turbo), County Commissioners Building, Oloo Street.
Fee Payment Details
Candidates are required to make two separate fee deposits:
- Payment in Sterling Pounds (GBP) for Pearson Edexcel International Examination fees at the Cooperative Bank of Kenya, Co-operative House Branch, Account No. 03120030120300.
- Payment in Kenyan Shillings (Kshs. 16,350.00) for KNEC registration and administration fees at either Kenya Commercial Bank (Account No. 1116686880) or Co-operative Bank (Account No. 01136030120300).
All fees cover supervision and invigilation costs and are subject to review by KNEC or Pearson Edexcel International as applicable.
