Annual Mathematics Contest 2024: Gitugi Girls High School

Venue: Gitugi Girls High School, Murang’a
Objective: The aim of the Annual Mathematics Contest is to demystify and popularize Mathematics among students, ultimately improving the subject’s performance nationwide. Additionally, the contest seeks to foster interaction between teachers and students, facilitating the sharing of experiences.
Contest Details:
- Eligibility: Open to all participating schools.
- Registration: Each participating team is required to pay a registration fee of Sh 3,000. The team composition should include 4 Form Four students, 3 Form Three students, 2 Form Two students, and 1 Form One student, totaling 10 students per set.
- Scope of Testing:
- Form 1: Up to the end of Rates, Ratios, Proportion, and Percentages.
- Form 2: Up to the end of Pythagoras Theorem.
- Form 3: Up to the end of Matrices.
- Form 4: Up to the end of Latitudes and Longitudes.
- Prizes:
- The top Form 4 boy and girl will receive a sponsorship to pursue a professional Diploma course at Strathmore University.
- The second-best Form 4 boy and girl will receive a sponsorship to pursue a professional course at Zetech University.
Special Instructions:
- Meals: Gitugi Girls High School will not provide meals for participating students. Schools are advised to make their own arrangements.
