Kandara Deputy County Commissioner Peter Maina confirmed the incident, explaining that although the student was initially admitted with a pulse, efforts to save her life proved unsuccessful.

Maina noted that the collapse happened in full view of other students at the examination center, though examination managers managed to keep the situation under control.

Official Responses

Murang’a County Education Director Anne Kiilu addressed the student’s sudden passing, attributing it to health-related causes.

Kiilu emphasized that the death was due to an undetermined medical condition, which would be investigated further.
