We are a medium-sized private primary school located on the outskirts of Nairobi, committed to offering quality education through the Kenyan Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader to fill the role of Head Teacher and steer our institution toward academic and co-curricular excellence.

Position: Head Teacher

Qualifications Required

The position is open to candidates aged between 40 and 50 years who meet the following qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Education.
  • Registration: Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Head Teacher or Deputy Head Teacher in a private primary school with over 400 pupils.
    • At least 3 years of experience teaching the CBC curriculum.
  • Track Record: Proven history of excellence in both academics and co-curricular activities in previous institutions.
  • Additional Advantage: Experience in teaching the International Curriculum is a plus.

Skills and Competencies

Applicants should possess the following skills and competencies:

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to supervise, mentor, and provide professional support to teachers.
  • Inspiring Excellence: Capability to motivate and inspire students to achieve academic success.
  • Community Engagement: Experience in liaising effectively with parents and the community.
  • Growth and Development: Strong leadership skills to drive growth and improvement within the school.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: High-level organizational abilities to manage school operations efficiently.
  • ICT Proficiency: Competency in using ICT tools such as word processing, school management software, and data analysis.
  • Life-Long Learner: Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
