The Kenya High School is pleased to announce the 1st edition of the National Chemistry Contest, scheduled to take place on 08 June 2024, starting at 8:00 AM.
This event aims to expose students to emerging trends in chemistry and the best concept-based revision strategies.

Contest Details:
- Categories:
- Senior Category: Form Three and Form Four
- Junior Category: Form One and Form Two
- Team Composition:
- Each team will comprise ten (10) students.
- Schools can register multiple teams.
- Registration Fee:
- Ksh. 2,500 per team.
- Contest Scope:
- Form One: Simple Classification of Substances
- Form Two: Chemical Families
- Form Three: Moles
- Form Four: Reaction Rates
Schedule:
- Exam Time: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Marking: 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Results Analysis: 1:30 PM – 2:15 PM
- Release of Results and Awards: 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Awards:
- Trophies, medals, and certificates will be awarded in the following categories:
- Overall Schools
- Boys Senior (Individual and Teams)
- Girls Senior (Individual and Teams)
- Mixed Senior (Individual and Teams)
- Boys Junior (Individual and Teams)
- Girls Junior (Individual and Teams)
- Mixed Schools (Individual and Teams)
- All participating schools and accompanying teachers will receive certificates of recognition.
Additional Information:
- Participating schools are advised to organize lunch and writing materials for their students.
- Confirmation of participation is required by 06 June 2024.
