Kenyan Teachers Deployed to US Schools Through Strategic Partnerships
On Monday, the State Department for Diaspora Affairs identified two companies responsible for facilitating the placement of Kenyan teachers in various schools across the United States.
This initiative is part of a collaborative project between private firms and the Ministry of Labour.
The companies involved in this placement are Consult Centre Limited and PESUAR International Job Placement Consultancy.
According to the State Department, Consult Centre Limited is a National Employment Authority registered agency, while PESUAR is a diaspora-owned recruitment agency registered in the US.

The government made this announcement shortly after Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi dispatched 67 teachers to begin their work in the US.
Musalia highlighted the rigorous selection process conducted by the two companies, stating that the teachers underwent thorough interviews to secure their positions.
Only 67 teachers passed the stringent evaluations and are now poised to receive better remuneration in the United States.
Musalia emphasized the importance of these teachers acting as exemplary brand ambassadors for Kenya during their tenure abroad.
Support and Guidance for Kenyan Teachers Abroad
Kenya has implemented frameworks to ensure the rights and welfare of its teachers abroad are safeguarded.
Teachers encountering challenges in the US were advised to reach out to Kenyan missions for assistance. Kenya maintains an embassy in Washington DC, along with consulates in Los Angeles and New York, to provide support.
