KICD Invites Publishers to Submit Course Materials for CBC Evaluation

The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) has issued a call to publishers registered or legally represented in Kenya to submit course materials for the 2024 edition of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

This initiative is part of KICD’s ongoing efforts to nurture every learner’s potential through high-quality educational resources.

Publishers interested in participating are invited to download the Submission, Evaluation, and Approval Procedures for both CBC Course Materials and CBC Complementary Materials for 2024 from the KICD website (www.kicd.ac.ke).

These procedures outline the requirements and timetables for submitting proposals for evaluation and approval.

Key Submission Details

Notification Deadline: Publishers must inform the Director KICD/CEO of their intention to submit materials by 21st June 2024, using conventional or digital communication channels.

Submission Deadline: The final date for submitting course and complementary materials for Pre-primary 1, Pre-primary 2, and Grades 1-9 is 12:00 p.m. on 6th August 2024. Each submission must include proof of payment for the non-refundable evaluation fees.

Opening of Submissions: Course materials will be publicly opened at 12:00 p.m. on 6th August 2024 at the KICD headquarters located on Desai Road off Murang’a Road, Nairobi. Publishers who wish to attend the opening are welcome to do so.
