KNEC Assures U-17 Women’s Football Team of Fair KCSE Examination Administration.

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) CEO Dr. David Njengere has celebrated Kenya’s U-17 National Women’s football team for qualifying for the World Cup.

During a meeting at Utalii Hotel, Dr. Njengere acknowledged that eight members of the team are candidates for the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.

The KNEC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) reassured the players that their participation in the tournament will not negatively affect their KCSE administration.

Njengere was accompanied by the Secretary of Administration in the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports, Evans Achoki, as well as Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Vice President Doris Petra.

The national exams are scheduled to take place from November 4 to November 22, with the World Cup matches for Kenya’s Group C set between October 18 and 24.

Successful teams will compete in the quarter-finals from October 26 to 28, with the final matches culminating on November 3, just a day before the KCSE exams begin.

Dr. Njengere emphasized that special measures will be in place to ensure that none of the candidates representing Kenya in the tournament will be disadvantaged academically during this period.
