KUCCPS Opens KMTC Application Portal for September Intake: How to Apply
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its portal for applications to the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the September 2024 intake.
This opportunity is available to qualified Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) holders from 2014 to 2023, including those who previously applied but were unsuccessful.
Application Process
Applicants need to follow these steps to complete their application:
Access the Portal:
Visit the Student’s Portal via students.kuccps.net or the KUCCPS website www.kuccps.ac.ke.
Log In:
Click on the Login tab and enter your KCSE Index Number, KCSE year, and Password. Your password is either your Birth Certificate Number or your KCPE Index Number.
View Available Courses:
Once logged in, select “KMTC Programmes” to see the courses offered and their minimum requirements. Applicants can only apply for courses where they meet these requirements. Download the PDF with the programme details for reference.
Select Preferred Courses:
Decide on your courses and note their Programme Codes. Enter these codes in your order of priority, from most preferred (No. 1) to least preferred (No. 4).
Submit Application:
Click on the “KMTC Application” tab, then “Apply Now”. Enter the Programme Codes, let the system fetch the programme details, and then click Submit.
Payment:
After submitting, a fee of Ksh1,500 is required. The portal will display the payment instructions.
Payment Procedure
Applicants who were unsuccessful in the previous KMTC application cycle do not need to pay again and should use their previous Payment Reference Code. New applicants should follow these steps:
Payment Link:
Upon clicking Submit in the application form, a pop-up will show a “Click Here to Pay” link. (Previous applicants enter the Payment Reference Code from eCitizen.)
eCitizen Instructions:
Click the link to be redirected to eCitizen for payment instructions. Select your payment method from the options provided.
M-PESA Payment:
For M-PESA, click the relevant button to display payment details, including the Business Number (222222), Payment Reference Code, and amount. Use the M-PESA menu on your phone to make the payment, entering your M-PESA PIN and sending.
Submit Application:
Return to the application window and enter the eCitizen Payment Reference Code to submit your application. Retain this Reference Code for any future application changes. DO NOT use the M-PESA transaction code.

Confirmation:
Once payment is made and the application is submitted, a success message will appear, and your application will be visible on the Dashboard.
Deadline
All applications must be submitted by June 21, 2024.
