Moi University Partners With Donghua University to Enhance Digital Distance Learning.

Moi University has entered into a partnership with China’s Donghua University in Shanghai to enhance digital distance learning.

This collaboration aims to transform the institution’s approach to education by leveraging modern technologies and fostering international cooperation.

The partnership was officially announced during the opening of a newly established learning facility at Moi University’s School of Nursing in Eldoret.

The Vice Chancellor of Moi University, Professor Isaac Kosgey, explained that the program would enable students to attend classes virtually from any location worldwide.

He emphasized that the state-of-the-art facility, valued at KSh 10 million, is fully equipped with modern digital devices designed to facilitate seamless digital learning.

Professor Kosgey expressed optimism about the project, noting its potential to revolutionize the university’s educational offerings by making learning more accessible and inclusive.

Vivian Zhang, the Director of the Confucius Institute at Moi University, praised the initiative, highlighting its role in strengthening ties between Kenya and China.

She noted that the program would serve as a cultural bridge, fostering greater understanding and cooperation between the two nations.

She emphasized that students would benefit from a variety of cultural and educational activities aimed at enriching their learning experience. Zhang expressed her excitement about the collaboration, describing it as an honor to contribute to such a transformative project.

The facility is expected to enable students to interact with lecturers and professors from Donghua University and other global institutions without being physically present.
