The program offers differentiated financial aid based on educational levels:

  • Secondary school students: KSh 10,000 each
  • College students: KSh 15,000 each
  • University students: KSh 20,000 each

Appeal for Education Support

During the launch event, Lenamparasio encouraged parents in Loosuk Ward to prioritize sending their children to school. He emphasized that access to bursaries, including those offered by other county programs, can significantly reduce financial barriers to education.

“Secondary school students will get Sh10,000, college Sh15,000 while university students will receive Sh20,000,” Lenamparasio said.

He urged leaders across Samburu County to intensify their efforts in supporting education by extending similar bursary programs to vulnerable students. According to Lenamparasio, such initiatives could help curb school dropouts resulting from financial challenges.

The MCA confirmed that cheques for the bursary will be distributed next week. He stressed the importance of this timing to ensure students are not sent home for failing to pay school fees.

Lenamparasio also called upon all leaders in Samburu County to work together. He noted that unity among leaders would accelerate development and improve service delivery for the benefit of the community.
