Teacher Training Colleges Eligible for Govt Sponsorships

Due to the fact that all learners are eligible for financial assistance, the new model promotes inclusivity. Trainees posted by KUCCPS with Ministry-run TVETs and Teacher Training Colleges are eligible for funding.

It has been reported that the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) will adopt the Mean Testing Instrument (MTI), a well-established method. This approach is linked to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and Registrar of Persons. As part of the process, local priests and chiefs will be entrusted to sign for students.

The PS stated that MTI will evaluate trainees based on eight criteria, including parental background, gender weights, course type (Sciences or Humanities), the learner’s previous school, family income, and family expenditures.
