THE ULTIMATE ANNUAL WORKSHOP FOR ENGLISH TEACHERS SET FOR 1ST FEBRUARY 2025.
The Nakuru High School Languages Department, in collaboration with the East African Educational Publishers (E.A.E.P), is organizing a one-day workshop for all English teachers. The event is set to take place on Saturday, 1st February 2025, at the school’s Multi-Purpose Hall, running from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
The workshop aims to utilize the experience of senior and well-versed K.N.E.C English examiners who will provide valuable insights into both the teaching and assessment of English. Key areas of focus will include Functional Skills, Literary Appreciation, Creative Writing, Essay Writing, and emerging trends in KCSE English.
Additionally, the facilitators will offer an in-depth analysis of the latest set texts in the curriculum. These include The Samaritan by John Lara, Fathers of Nations by Paul B. Vida, A Silent Song and Other Stories edited by Godwin Siundu, An Artist of the Floating World by Kazuo Ishiguro, and Parliament of Owls by Adipo Sidang.
Facilitators and Areas of Focus
To ensure comprehensive coverage of all relevant areas, the following seasoned examiners will lead different sessions:

The workshop will also explore various strategies aimed at positively shaping students’ understanding of English. Facilitators will engage participants in discussions on effective teaching methodologies and how to better prepare learners for national examinations.
Participation and Fees
Each participant is required to pay a registration fee of Kshs. 2000. Additionally, comprehensive revision books authored by renowned scholars will be available at affordable prices during the event.
