TSC Advances Promotion Interviews for County Director Roles
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) recently conducted initial interviews for more than 50 Sub-County Directors (SCDs) and deputy directors aiming to advance to the role of County Directors (CDs).
These interviews, held approximately two weeks ago, are part of the process to fill 13 upcoming vacancies for CDs due to retirements or expired contracts.
In February of this year, TSC advertised 13 positions of Deputy Director-Teacher Management at Job Grade 5, as well as five positions for senior directors who either resigned or were newly created under the Career Progression Guidelines (CPG) for Secretariat staff.
Applicants vying for these 13 CD vacancies must have served at least three years as Assistant Directors in Teacher Management or six years in a comparable educational sector position.
Possessing a Master’s degree from a recognized university will be advantageous.
Additionally, candidates must hold a Certificate in Leadership Course or equivalent, obtained from a recognized institution, adhere to Chapter Six of the Constitution, and demonstrate outstanding merit and capability through their work performance and achievements.
Successful candidates appointed to these positions will receive a renewable five-year contract and a monthly salary ranging from KSh192,782 to KSh288,051.
They will also be entitled to a house allowance of KSh50,000, commuter allowance of KSh16,000, and 30 days of annual leave per calendar year.
