TSC Announces Recruitment of 46,000 Teachers on Permanent and Pensionable Terms: How to Apply.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) of Kenya has announced the recruitment of 46,000 qualified teachers to fill vacant positions on Permanent and Pensionable terms. The positions available are distributed as follows:
- 6,000 positions for Primary Schools,
- 39,550 positions for Junior Schools, and
- 450 positions for Secondary Schools.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the recruitment process, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- For Primary Schools, candidates must hold at least a P1 certificate, while applicants for Junior and Secondary Schools should possess a minimum of a diploma in education.
- All candidates must be registered teachers with the Teachers Service Commission.
Application Procedure
Interested and qualified applicants should submit their applications online through the TSC’s official websites (www.tsc.go.ke under ‘Careers’ or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke). The application deadline is set for midnight, 7th October 2024.

General Guidelines
- TSC’s Recruitment Guidelines for the 2024/2025 Financial Year will apply.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original copies of their academic and professional certificates.
- Manual applications will not be accepted.
- Applicants should only submit one Application for Employment Form, as submitting more than one will result in disqualification.
- Serving interns should apply in their current counties, sub-counties, or workstations, and they will only be required to provide their identity cards during the verification process.
