TSC Deploys Competent Officers for National Examinations / Assessments Oversight.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has assigned qualified personnel to facilitate the seamless administration of this year’s exams and assessments.

TSC Director of Staffing, Antonina Lentoijoni, confirmed that no officers would be posted to centers where they have vested interests, ensuring impartiality in the process.

Lentoijoni emphasized that the deployed officers possess the necessary skills and experience to manage the exams effectively, further reinforcing the commission’s commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity in examination oversight.

By assigning impartial and capable staff, the TSC aims to uphold fairness and credibility in the administration of national examinations.

Dr. Belio Kipsang, the Principal Secretary of the State Department for Basic Education, emphasized the need for all stakeholders to follow the set guidelines to prevent any form of malpractice.

He highlighted the importance of these measures in upholding the credibility, validity, and reliability of examinations and assessments.

Transition to Digital Examination Systems

Dr. Kipsang acknowledged the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) for successfully transitioning to electronic assessment and marking for teacher examinations.

This shift reflects a significant step in modernizing the examination process.

The Principal Secretary for Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy, Eng. John Tanui, expressed the government’s dedication to providing all necessary technological support to maintain the integrity of national exams.

The focus is to ensure that the examination process remains transparent and free from malpractice.

Eng. Tanui highlighted his satisfaction with the innovations implemented to safeguard the credibility of assessments.
