TSC Study Leave for Teachers: Application Process
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Study leave is be granted per the prevailing policy at any given time.
The process for applying for study leave
The application must be received by the Commission at least one month before the commencement date.
The admissions letter ought to accompany the application.
Before receiving official approval and release, a teacher should not leave.
You must use leave for its intended purpose after receiving it; failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
Teachers are required to report for posting thirty days before the leave’s expiration and provide proof that they have completed their studies.

Those on study leave for less than six months must return to their stations to resume their assigned tasks. Their respective institution heads should promptly notify the Commission.
The bonding
The commission will require educators who receive paid study leave to carry out the following tasks:
Courses with a duration of six months to one year or less will incur a one-year bond.
Courses with a duration of less than two years are subject to a two-year bond.
Individuals enrolled in courses that extend for two years or longer will be subject to a three-year bond.
If a teacher bound by a bond obligation decides to resign, they will be obligated to reimburse the entire cost of their training, as well as the salaries and allowances they received during their study leave.
Self-sponsored educators will be required to reimburse an amount equivalent to the salaries and allowances they received during their study leave. Individuals who have been on unpaid study leave will be exempt from the surety.
