TVETA Announces Vacancy for Board Chairperson; How to Apply.
The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) has announced a vacancy for the Chairperson of its Board of Directors, as Prof. Florence Ngesa Indede’s term nears completion.
Candidates must submit their applications by Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Applications can be sent via email to [email protected] or delivered in person to the Director General’s office on the 8th floor of Utalii House.
Eligibility Criteria
In a local newspaper advertisement, TVETA outlined the required qualifications. Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree from a university accredited in Kenya.
They must also have a minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in fields related to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), legal affairs, and financial management.

Additionally, candidates should have occupied a senior management role for at least five years, at the level of Assistant Director in the civil service or an equivalent position in either the public or private sector.
The appointed Chairperson will serve a four-year term, with the option for reappointment for an additional term. TVETA will publish the names of all applicants and shortlisted candidates on its website by April 15, 2025.
