The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has streamlined the process for obtaining a Statement of Results, making it easier for candidates and institutions alike.

Whether you need to confirm your exam results for further studies or employment purposes, here’s a detailed guide on how to navigate the application process seamlessly.

Step 1: Register an Account

To begin, visit https://qmis.knec.ac.ke or use the eCitizen platform to register an account.

Step 2: Log In

Once registered, log in using the credentials sent to your email upon registration.

Step 3: Select Confirmation Option

Navigate to the menu and select the “Confirmation” option.

Step 4: Fill in Required Details

  • Enter your Index Number, Type of exam (e.g., KCSE, KCPE), and the Year of examination. Click “Find” to proceed.
  • Provide the destination address details of the institution requesting the confirmation.
  • Specify the addressee (the person or department to whom the confirmation should be addressed).
  • State the purpose of the confirmation (e.g., admission, employment).

Step 5: Attach Supporting Documents

Upload a copy of your certificate, result slip, or result printout as required.

Step 6: Submit Application

Submit your application and await the system to generate payment details.

Step 7: Make Payment

You will receive an SMS notification with instructions to log in and make the necessary payment for processing.

Step 8: Application Processing

After payment, your application will be processed by KNEC. This typically involves verifying the details provided and preparing the necessary documents.

Step 9: Dispatch (Optional)

If you opt for dispatch via courier, contact the KNEC helpline (0720741004 / 0732333566) for further guidance on the delivery process.

Automated Query Resolution

KNEC has automated the process for handling examination-related queries through its Query Management Information System (QMIS).
