Annual National Physics Contest And Symposium: Nairobi School

Nairobi School is pleased to invite you to our Annual National Physics Contest, which will be held at Nairobi School on Sunday, 26 May 2024, starting at 7:30 am.

The registration fee per team of 9 students is 2500 Ksh, and a school can register as many teams as possible. We have implemented a very inclusive system of awarding.

A team of 9 students will comprise of three categories as follows:

  • Senior Category: Class Form 4 – 4 students
  • Medium Category: Form 3 – 3 students
  • Junior Category: Form 2 – 2 students

THE SCOPE

  • Form 4: Up to and including Mains Electricity
  • Form 3: Up to and including Work, Energy, Power & Machines
  • Form 2: Up to and including Tuning Effect of Force

Note: Mixed category teams should have at least 3 students of the other gender. Teams arriving after 2 pm will sit for the papers but will not be ranked.

Participating schools are advised to provide packed lunch for their students. Students should carry their geometrical set and a scientific calculator. During marking, there will be a symposium/quick-fire session in the hall where instant prizes will be awarded. Additionally, there will be a physics talk on KCSE Examination tips for candidates.
