KCSE Girl Dies of Kidney and Heart Complications in Migori.
A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidate in Migori County tragically passed away while undergoing treatment for severe kidney and heart complications.
Moline Atieno, a 19-year-old student from Okumbo Mixed Secondary School, had been taking her exams from the Migori County Referral Hospital due to her medical condition.
Atieno had been admitted to the hospital on October 15, where she remained under close medical supervision to manage her condition.
Her passing occurred on Tuesday evening at approximately 6:30 PM, despite ongoing medical interventions.

According to a police report, during her hospital stay, Atieno was provided with special care and attention due to her severe health issues.
The incident brings to light the challenges faced by students with critical health issues in accessing education, particularly during crucial national exams.
In an unrelated incident, another candidate, involved in an alleged act of misconduct, is expected to sit for the remaining KCSE examinations under police supervision.

Authorities revealed that this student reportedly engaged another individual with popcorn and soft drinks before committing an undisclosed act. Upon conclusion of the exams, legal proceedings will follow as the suspect faces charges in court.
