KNEC Announces Exam Assessors Recruitment: How to Apply

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced that they are hiring examiners all over the country to help with the oral and practical parts of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). 

Before participating in the national practice, those who qualify will receive training, according to KNEC.

“Teachers and instructors who are already in the KNEC database of assessors need not apply,” it said. 

During the practice, they will be in charge of Power Mechanics, Electricity, Aviation Technology, French Oral, German Oral, Arabic Oral, Kenyan Sign Language Signing Practical, and Music Practical.

Requirements

Must be an active teacher or tutor in the subjects in question;

Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or a recognized professional group and/or work for that body; 

Teachers must have at least a diploma in education or a related field.

Those who want to work in aviation technology must have at least a diploma in aeronautical engineering. 

At least three years of work as a teacher; 

Must be recommended by his or her boss or head of the institution; 

Must not be on probation or any other kind of time-out from work from the employer; 

You must be younger than 50 years old. 

How to Apply

Use the link https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke to get to the KNEC examiners’ platform; 

People who have CP2 accounts should use their usernames and passwords to log in to the site; 

For people who have lost their CP2 passwords, click on the “reset password” button, enter their phone number in the format (2547********), and click “Submit” to get a new password. 

CP2 users who don’t already have an account should click “Create account” and follow the steps to get login information.

After logging in successfully, the candidate should finish their profile and click “Save.” On the dashboard, click on “Apply for Assessors’ Vacancies.” This will show all the open positions and let people choose which one to apply for.  

“The slots are limited and only qualified applicants who have presented all the required documents will be shortlisted for the exercise,” KNEC said.
