KUCCPS Portal Open for Courses Revision! How to Apply/Revise

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) application portal is now open for the first revision of applicants’ placement choices at universities, TVET institutions, teacher training colleges (TTCs), and the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

KUCCPS says the application/revision process will close on April 4, 2024. The placement body is targeting applicants who did not secure any of their choices submitted in February/March 2024.

The 2023 KCSE examination candidates with C+ and above who did not apply for degree programs during the February/March 2024 application period have been asked to apply.

The KUCCPS target list also includes Form Four leavers who obtained a KCSE mean grade between 2000 and 2023 and who have never enrolled in higher education through KUCCPS. The placement body has urged them to apply to TVET courses.

Those who submitted applications in February or March 2024 should check the status of their applications by logging into the KUCCPS Student Portal at students.kuccps.net.

How can we revise our courses?

Candidates can pick from a variety of KUCCPS educational programmes. Even with the diversity, choosing a wise career decision is critical to maximising your training. Here’s a detailed KUCCPS application system approach to help you revise KUCCPS courses online and prevent missing out on this important practice.

  • Login to the KUCCPS student portal using your KCSE index number, exam year, and password.
  • Enter your birth certificate or KCPE index number as your first password.
  • Select “APPLICATION/RREVISION.”
  • Begin your revision by entering the programme codes for all six options labelled 1a, 1b, 1c, 2, 3, and 4.
  • Click on the “Check requirements” button to see if you are eligible for any of the programmes listed.
  • If you qualify for all of the programmes you have chosen, a submit button will appear. Your qualifications are determined by whether you meet all of the basic requirements for a given course. The “Submit” button will only operate for the programmes you have selected.
  • If you apply for the first time, the system will request that you enter an MPESA transaction code. Complete the payment through MPESA, then provide the transaction code to authorise your payment.

We advise prospective applicants to make their payment only after confirming their eligibility for the selected KUCCPS courses.

What if you don’t get placed?

KUCCPS expects candidates who do not receive a choice in their first revision after a competitive selection to take part in the second revision on an obligatory basis in order to prevent missing out on the exercise.

If your first application for higher education fails to receive approval, you should not be concerned. This section will guide you through a comprehensive process to guarantee the successful acceptance of your applications.

The second review of certificate, diploma, and degree courses is equally accessible, but with fewer courses. As a result, potential candidates should consider degree, diploma, and certificate options for various empty spots advertised on the website.

If the KUCCPS website does not list your index numbers but you have enough points to qualify, you have already secured a position in your desired career and institution.

This means that the placement board accepted your initial application to join certain learning programmes, and you will receive official communication at the end of the placement procedure.

The second revision of programmes by KUCCPS offers an additional appealing option for students who failed to submit applications during the selection or first revisions.

The KUCCPS portal provides helpful guiding information on available programmemes in various universities, programme clusters, previous cut-off points, weighed cluster points, and the application procedure. Below is a step-by-step strategy to help you revise your degree courses.

How to access and log into the KUCCPS student portal.

  • To begin your revision process, click the “APPLICATION/REVISION” link.
Provide the programmeme codes for the revised options shown in the “New programmeme code” column.
  • To make changes to the column, click “Select.”.
  • All of your options will appear when you correctly fill out the form.
  • If a red-marked mistake appears, make the necessary corrections and save again.

Remember to always log out of your KUCCPS student portal to ensure the security of your applications and personal information.
