2021–2025 Collective Bargaining Agreements

On August 28, 2023, the Kenyan education sector reached a significant milestone when the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) signed an addendum agreement to the 2021-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) with key teacher unions, including the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET), and the Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers (KUSNET).

This deal was a turning point in Kenya’s continuous attempts to enhance teachers’ pay, addressing long-standing issues within the profession.
