TSC Recruitment: Kitui to Receive Largest Allocation of JSS Teachers.

Kitui County ranks highest in the number of Junior School (JS) teachers set to be hired by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) on Permanent and Pensionable terms.

With 1,796 slots allocated, Kitui tops the list, followed by Nakuru County with 1,553 positions and Kakamega County with 1,500.

On the other end, counties such as Isiolo, Lamu, and Mombasa will receive the fewest teachers, with Isiolo and Lamu getting 158 slots each, while Mombasa is allocated 261 positions.

Breakdown of Teacher Recruitment

The TSC has announced 46,000 available positions for qualified educators. These include:

• 6,000 positions for primary school teachers
• 39,550 positions for JS teachers
• 450 positions for secondary school teachers

Minimum Requirements for Applicants

To be eligible for primary school positions, applicants must hold a P1 certificate, while JS and secondary school applicants are required to have a diploma in education. Additionally, all candidates must be registered with the TSC.

Application and Verification Process

Shortlisted candidates are expected to present their original academic and professional certificates during the verification process.

It is also noted that filling more than one Application for Employment Form will result in disqualification.

Manual applications will not be accepted. Serving interns must apply in their current county, sub-county, or work station. For verification, interns will only need to present their identity cards.

Application Deadline and Submission

Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their applications via the TSC website at www.tsc.go.ke under the ‘Careers’ section or through teachersonline.tsc.go.ke before October 7, 2024, by midnight.
