During the application process, each candidate will receive a unique serial number to track their application. Applicants must provide both original documents and clear photocopies of specific certifications. The required documents include:
- National ID card
- Teacher registration certificate
- Proof of completion of the Upgrade Diploma in Primary Teacher Education, if applicable
- PTE certificate
- KCSE certificate or equivalent, including certificates for any re-sat exams
- KCPE certificate or equivalent, including certificates for any re-sat exams
- Certification of results from KNEC, if necessary
- Primary and secondary school leaving certificates, as well as other relevant testimonials
- National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) card, if applicable
- Sworn affidavit to explain any discrepancies in names, under the Oaths and Statutory Declarations Act, Cap 15 of the Laws of Kenya.

Authentication of Academic and Professional Documents
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will verify the authenticity of academic and professional documents through a stringent process:
- Original academic and professional certificates will undergo scrutiny to ensure they are genuine.
- The TSC Sub-County Director will certify photocopies of the certificates and other documents before forwarding them to the TSC County Director.
- Any applicant presenting falsified documents will face disqualification or deregistration, as this constitutes a criminal offense.
Submission of Documents to TSC Headquarters
After the county-level selection process, the TSC County Director is responsible for submitting a comprehensive set of documents to the TSC Headquarters. These include:
- County Selection Panel minutes, signed by the Chairperson and Secretary.
- Sub-County Selection Panel minutes, signed and verified by the TSC County Director, detailing how the final list of successful candidates was agreed upon.
- County Merit Lists (Appendix IV).
- Final list of selected applicants, drawn from the County Merit List (Appendix V).
- List of applicants who were invited but did not attend verification (Appendix VI).
- List of applicants with disabilities (Appendix VII).
- Offer of Employment Letter, duly signed.
- Original statement of PTE/DPTE (Upgrade)/KCSE/KCPE results from KNEC for applicants lacking original certificates.
- Original Medical Examination Report, Form GP 69.

In addition, the following certified documents must be arranged in the order listed below for submission:

- KRA PIN certificate, bank form, and front-facing bank card or plate for payroll processing
