TSC to Increase Salaries for Promoted Teachers Next Month
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has commenced the process of revising the payroll for recently promoted educators to accurately reflect the increased salaries associated with their elevated status.
For the 36,504 teachers who recently received promotions and grade level upgrade, TSC has started the payroll preparation process; their salaries will rise as a result.
With a daily workload of 2,500 files, the commission aims to finalize the procedure for updating the teachers‘ promotions on its payroll by June 15, 2024.
All unit heads have been instructed, in an internal memorandum dated today and signed by M.A. Sango, the interim director in charge of human resource management and development, to ensure that they have captured a minimum of 75% of cases that are due by the end of May.
According to the memo, due to strict timelines, there is a necessity to expedite the increased promotion of IPPD Authorized Data Capture Sheets.

The memo states that this action will facilitate the promotion of at least 75 percent of the cases by the May 2024 payroll closure.
Furthermore, the memo specifies that each officer must adjust a minimum of fifty (50) IPPD authorized data capture sheets daily.
Furthermore, it encourages unit heads to identify additional data capture in order to effectively manage the daily workload.

The commission‘s findings show that 80% of the educators promoted to different grade levels (C2 to D5) through Advertisements No. 46/2023 to 69/2023 stayed at their current positions.
