TSC Transfers Secondary school Principals in Murang’a, Promotes Deputies
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has replaced secondary school principals in Murang’a, with schools opening for the second term next Monday.
The teacher’s employer has also promoted several deputy principals.
Andrew Maina, the long-serving principal of Ichagaki Mixed Secondary School, has been transferred to PK Secondary School, according to John Mwangi.
Maina expressed gratitude for managing Ichagaki Secondary School’s improvements for 15 years.
He mentioned that he was leaving Ichagaki Mixed School, which had a student population of 660 when he arrived 16 years ago, but now he found only 66 students.

Julia Muturi, the Kamahuha Girls’ principal, has moved to Musa Gitau in Kiambu County to replace Rhoda Wamaitha.
Nginda Girls in Maragua has assigned Wamaitha to replace Veronica Mwai, who has transferred to Kamahuha Girls.
Francis Ng’ang’a, Director of Murang’a TSC, stated that the head teachers‘ transfers were routine.
Ng’ang’a stated that it was a routine exercise by the employer with no cause for alarm.
According to Teachers Updates, handovers in the affected schools are ongoing and managed by the sub-county directors of education.
The Kahuro sub-county’s Koimbi Mixed Secondary School now houses Hannah Wangari, the deputy principal at Kamahuha Girls.
