TSC Urges Teachers to File Income Tax Returns: Deadline Set
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has reminded all teachers and secretariat staff of their obligation to file their individual income tax returns for the year 2023. The circular, numbered 04/2024, underscores the importance of compliance with the provisions of the Income Tax Act.
According to the circular, TSC employees are required to submit their income tax returns through the Kenya Revenue Authority’s (KRA) online iTax platform (https://itax.kra.go.ke) by the deadline of June 30, 2024.
To facilitate the process, employees of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) can download their tax deduction cards (P9 forms) from the TSC T-Pay portal.
Recognising that some individuals may encounter challenges during the filing process, TSC boss Dr. Nancy Macharia provides avenues for seeking assistance.
