TSC Salary And Benefit For Grade C2, C3, C4, And C5 Teachers 

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced new salary and benefit packages for teachers who have been promoted to job grades C2, C3, C4, and C5.

TSC ensures that educators receive fair compensation for their dedication and hard work in the classroom.

Listed below are the new pay and benefits that teachers promoted to job categories C2, C3, C4, and C5 are entitled to receive immediately:

Monthly Basic Salary in Every Job Grade:

Teachers under C2 (Job Group 7): The minimum basic pay is Ksh 34,955, and the maximum is Ksh 43,694.

Teachers under C3 (Job Group 8): The minimum basic pay is Ksh 43,154, and the maximum is Ksh 53,943.

C4 Teachers (Job Group 9): The minimum basic pay is Ksh 52,308, and the maximum is Ksh 65,385.

Teachers under C5 (Job Group 10): The minimum basic pay is Ksh 62,272, and the maximum is Ksh 77,840.

TSC Monthly Allowances For Teachers per Grade:

Monthly Commuter Allowance:

Paid at different rates for each job group:

For C2: Ksh 5,000 per month

C3: Ksh 6,000 per month

C4: Ksh 8,000 per month

For C5: Ksh 8,000 per month

Monthly Disability Guide Allowance:

A monthly allowance of Ksh 20,000 for teachers working in special schools across all job groups from C2 to C5.

Annual Leave Allowance:

Paid at a rate of Ksh 6,000 per month for all job groups from C2 to C5.

Monthly House Allowance:

a. Under C2 (Job Group 7)

• Hse1 Nairobi: Ksh 16,500
• Hse2 Major Municipalities: Ksh 12,800
• Hse3 Other former Minor Municipalities: Ksh 9,600
• Hse4 All other areas: Ksh 7,500

b. Under C3 (Job Group 8) and C4 (Job Group 9)

• Hse1 Nairobi: Ksh 28,000
• Hse2 Major Municipalities: Ksh 22,000
• Hse3 Other former Minor Municipalities: Ksh 16,500
• Hse4 All other areas: Ksh 13,000

c. Under C5 (Job Group 10)

• Hse1 Nairobi: Ksh 35,000
• Hse2 Major Municipalities: Ksh 25,500
• Hse3 Other former Minor Municipalities: Ksh 18,000
• Hse4 All other areas: Ksh 15,40

Monthly Hardship Allowance:

• Paid to teachers working in hardship areas to compensate for living conditions.
• Rates per job group:
  • C2: Ksh 10,900 per month
