Updated Salary for P1 Teachers Promoted to C2 Grade
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) promotion of PTE instructors to C2 will see the teachers receiving improved pay scales.
TSC is doing everything in its power to alleviate the teacher shortage that most junior secondary schools are facing.
To address the severe teacher shortage that is now developing, the commission is under intense pressure to assign more instructors to junior secondary schools.
Many primary school teachers who were assigned to junior secondary schools on both the first and second occurrences are part of job group C1.
Among other employment groupings, there are instructors in C3 and C4.

When the degree-holding instructors are deployed, they will be placed in job group C2, where they will stay for three years until being moved automatically to work group C3.
This is the TSC Pay for a C2 teacher
