Nyakach NG-CDF Acquires Six New School Buses for Local Schools.
Nyakach Member of Parliament Aduma Owuor has procured six new school buses through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen education infrastructure and improve learner transportation across the constituency.
The buses are expected to be officially handed over to the beneficiary institutions before the close of the 2026/2027 Financial Year, adding to recent investments made through the constituency’s education development programme.
Among the institutions set to receive a new school bus is AIC Naki Secondary School, which is expected to restore its transport capacity following the loss of its previous bus in a tragic road accident in 2025 that claimed the lives of more than 20 people. The replacement bus is intended to support the school’s academic programmes as well as co-curricular activities.
The other beneficiary institutions are Ragen A.I.C Secondary School, Pawtenge Secondary School, Olembo Boys High School, Rakwaro Mixed Secondary School and St. Georges Special School.
With the procurement of the six additional buses, the total number of school and institutional buses acquired through the Nyakach National Government Constituencies Development Fund by the end of the 2026/2027 Financial Year will increase to 22.
Separately, Nyakach Girls High School is also scheduled to receive a new school bus through support from President William Samoei Ruto.
Speaking on the initiative, Aduma Owuor stated that the investment demonstrates his commitment to improving learning conditions by providing schools with the infrastructure required to support quality education.
