KNEC Opens Registration Portal for 2026 Business and Technical Examinations.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially opened registration for the November 2026 Business and Technical examinations, with all candidates and institutions required to complete the exercise through the council’s online registration portal.

The registration exercise covers institutional candidates sitting Business single and group subjects in preparation for the November 2026 examination series, which is scheduled to run from November 16 to December 4, 2026.

The council stated that all registrations must be submitted through the official online portal, adding that manual applications will not be accepted.

The commencement of registration marks the beginning of the official examination administration process, during which eligible candidates are formally registered to sit the national examinations. Successful registration is a mandatory requirement before candidates can be issued with examination timetables and allowed to sit the examinations.

For training institutions, the registration period also initiates several administrative processes, including verification of candidate details, submission of Course Work Assessment (CWA) and project marks, preparation for practical examinations, and completion of other examination management requirements.

KNEC had previously notified institutions that registration for the November 2026 examination series would open, with the latest announcement confirming the commencement of the exercise.

In addition to opening registration, the council released the official schedule of key examination activities for the November 2026 Business and Technical examinations.

According to the examination calendar, institutions are required to submit Course Work Assessment (CWA) and project marks by October 23, 2026.

Institutions will also collect advanced instructions for practical examinations on October 12, 2026, ahead of the practical and theory examination sessions scheduled later in the examination period.

KNEC further announced the registration timeline for the July 2027 Business and Technical examination series. Registration will be conducted between March 1 and May 7, 2027, while the examinations will be administered from July 19 to August 6, 2027.
