KNEC Sets Official Rehearsals for July 2026 B&T Examinations.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has scheduled nationwide rehearsals for candidates sitting the July 2026 Business and Technical (B&T) examinations as part of the final preparations before the commencement of the assessments.

In a notice issued on Wednesday, KNEC announced that the official rehearsal exercise will be conducted across the country on Friday, July 17, 2026. The Council stated that all registered candidates are expected to participate in the rehearsals to facilitate the smooth administration of the examinations.

KNEC noted that the rehearsal exercise is intended to familiarise candidates with examination procedures, verify candidate information, and ensure readiness before the examination papers are administered.

“Official rehearsals will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, countrywide. This is a crucial step to ensure you are fully prepared for your upcoming exams,” KNEC stated.

As part of the preparations, the Council directed candidates to review their examination timetables and verify all examination details before the commencement of the assessments. Candidates have been instructed to:

  • Confirm the dates and times of all examination papers.
  • Verify their examination centre details.
  • Confirm their examination index numbers.
  • Review any specific instructions applicable to practical and theory papers.

KNEC further directed candidates to report any discrepancies identified during the verification process to their respective centre managers without delay.

“Don’t wait until the last minute. Talk to your centre manager today if you notice any discrepancies,” the Council stated.

According to KNEC, the rehearsal exercise will provide candidates with an opportunity to confirm their registration details, identify their designated examination rooms, and familiarise themselves with the procedures that will be followed during the administration of the examinations.

The Kenya National Examinations Council regularly conducts rehearsal sessions before the commencement of national examinations as part of its examination management framework. The exercises are designed to facilitate verification of candidate registration details, orientation within examination centres, and adherence to the rules governing the administration of national examinations.
