Universities Admission Letters Finally Out! How to Download.
Thousands of students placed in public universities by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) can now access and download their 2026/2027 admission letters after several universities opened their admission portals ahead of the September 2026 intake.
A number of public universities have confirmed that admission letters and joining instructions are available for successful applicants, while others are at different stages of processing the documents.
Among the universities that have released admission letters are Kenyatta University, Moi University, Maseno University, Kisii University, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), Maasai Mara University, and Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, alongside several other public universities.
Kenyatta University Releases Admission Letters
Kenyatta University announced that admission letters for all 11,244 students placed by KUCCPS for the 2026/2027 academic year are available for download through the university’s admissions portal.
The university directed successful applicants to access the admissions portal and log in using their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) index number and KCSE examination year.
After logging into the portal, students can download their admission letters together with the required joining documents.
Moi University Opens Admission Portal
Moi University also confirmed that admission letters for the 2026/2027 academic year are available for download.
The institution instructed successful applicants to complete the online admission process before reporting for the September intake.
Students have been directed to access the university admissions portal using their KCSE index number and KCSE examination year before downloading the admission documents.
Maseno University Issues Joining Instructions
Maseno University announced that admission letters and joining instructions for the 2026/2027 KUCCPS cohort are ready for download.
In its communication to newly admitted students, the university congratulated the successful applicants and directed them to download both the admission letters and joining instructions through the admissions portal.
Kisii University Begins Online Self-Admission
Kisii University has also released admission letters for first-year students admitted through KUCCPS.
The university instructed freshers to complete the institution’s online self-admission process after downloading their admission letters.
According to the university, students are required to follow the prescribed online admission procedure before reporting for the academic year.
MMUST Releases Admission Documents
Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) informed first-year students that admission letters and joining documents are available for download.
The university indicated that the release of the documents forms part of preparations for the September 2026 intake.
JKUAT Yet to Release Admission Letters
Unlike several other public universities, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) announced that admission letters are still being processed.
The university advised students to wait for an official communication regarding the availability of the documents.
According to JKUAT, guidance on how to download the admission letters will be provided once processing has been completed.
General Procedure for Downloading Admission Letters
Although admission procedures vary slightly across institutions, universities have outlined a similar process for downloading admission documents.
Successful applicants are generally required to:
- Visit the official admissions portal of their respective university.
- Log in using their KCSE index number and other required credentials.
- Accept the admission offer where applicable.
- Complete the required personal and academic information.
- Upload the required supporting documents.
- Download and print the admission letter, joining instructions, medical forms, and any other required admission documents.

Universities Warn Against Unofficial Admission Platforms
Public universities have cautioned newly admitted students against using unofficial websites, unauthorized portals, or third-party payment links during the admission process.
The institutions have advised applicants to rely exclusively on official university admission portals and verified institutional communication channels when downloading admission letters, completing online admission procedures, and obtaining updates relating to the 2026/2027 academic year.
